What’s changing in the talent trees?
The skeleton is familiar. Same number of rows, same 11, 21 and 31-point tiers. The new piece is a 16-point tier in between.
Some talents carry over untouched from patch 1.12, so Classic players will recognize plenty. What each class gets at the new 16-point tier hasn’t been shown class by class yet.
Which buff talents are now baseline?
In Classic, bringing certain raid buffs meant sinking talent points into them. In Forever, several of those become baseline, so you get them without spending a point. Blizzard’s examples:
| Talent | Class in Classic | In Forever |
|---|---|---|
| Divine Spirit | Priest | Baseline |
| Blessing of Kings | Paladin | Baseline |
| Improved Mark of the Wild | Druid | Baseline |
In practice, those points can go straight into your actual spec.
Racials: 2 active, 2 passive
Every race in Forever has two active and two passive racials. Blizzard walked through two examples:
- Dwarf: Stoneform, Mace Specialization and Big Game Hunter.
- Undead: Will of the Forsaken no longer grants immunity, Cannibalize now restores mana, and Touch of the Grave is a brand-new racial.
The Will of the Forsaken change is the one PvP players will feel. In Classic it made you immune to fear, charm and sleep for a few seconds; in Forever, that immunity is gone.

Paladin changes
Paladin got the most detailed breakdown so far:
- Holy Strike at level 6.
- Judgement no longer consumes your seal, so no re-sealing after every Judgement.
- Seal of Fury is added for tanks.
- Consecration is baseline at level 20 instead of a talent.
- Still no interrupt.
What about the other classes?
There’s no full change list yet for anything besides Paladin. Blizzard says more class and race details are coming in future videos and articles. The next shot at answers is the WoW Live Q&A on September 17, 2026, with the Forever segment at 10:30 a.m. PDT.
