Is WoW Forever down right now?
Blizzard's WoW support articles point to two places: the Realm Status page and the Blizzard CS accounts, which the weekly maintenance article lists as @BlizzardCS on X for the Americas, @BlizzardCSEU_EN on X for Europe, and @support.blizzard.com on Bluesky for both.
The catch: the Game Version menu on Realm Status currently only has World of Warcraft, WoW Classic, Burning Crusade Classic and Mists of Pandaria Classic. Forever isn't there, and it isn't on the weekly maintenance schedule either. Blizzard hasn't said yet whether Forever will be added to that page.
When do the WoW Forever servers go live?
Launch is November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST (23:00 UTC), everywhere at once. In central Europe that's 00:00 CET on November 5. You can't install the live game before then; if you own an upgrade, the beta is the only thing you can install for now.
Early Name Reservation runs October 27 to November 3 for anyone with an upgrade (up to three characters), and the roadmap starts character creation on October 27 too.
How the Battle.net login queue works
If too many people are logging in to Battle.net at once, you get placed in a queue. Expect messages like 'Login servers are full', 'It's a busy day for Battle.net Services!' or 'You're almost there!'. According to Blizzard Support, leaving the queue or dropping out for any reason means starting over.
- Don't quit or restart the client until the queue is done.
- Get your account name and password right the first time.
- Type your authenticator code fast and without typos.
- Accept any Terms of Use or license screen straight away.
That covers the Battle.net login queue only. There's nothing official on how an in-game Forever queue would work, how long it could get, or AFK kicks.
Will realmless servers mean shorter queues?
That's the plan. Blizzard's Deep Dive recap says the realmless design is meant to ease the old trade-off between long queues and a tight community. There's no realm list: you pick a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or Hardcore), and each one runs as a large ecosystem of players. No queue times or capacity numbers were shared.

Source / rights
The Hardcore panel added a related detail. If the area you're in has to be refreshed because of player population, you get a 3-minute countdown and a button to move now once you're safe. It was built for Hardcore but will run game-wide, with testing planned for beta.
Beta: the EU connection issues
During the first days of beta, EU testers had trouble moving, interacting with things and staying connected. On September 21, Community Manager Kaivax posted that fixes had gone in to speed up EU routing. Lag from ISPs or firewalls can still happen, and Blizzard says it's keeping an eye on it.
The beta is also getting a Server Slam, where the servers open to everyone for a few hours. No date has been given.
What to check first
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| 'Login servers are full' or 'You're almost there!' | You're in the login queue; don't close the client |
| 'World server is down' on every character | Realm Status and the Blizzard CS accounts; wait it out if it's a wider outage |
| Instant disconnect at login or 'Stuck at connecting' | Status accounts first, then the Region / Account picker above the Play button in Battle.net |
| An error code such as WOW51900319 | The Blizzard Support article for that code |
| Rubber banding or lag on EU beta | If it continues, your ISP and firewall |
