Which classes change on November 10 in WoW Forever?

After the first days of player reports, Blizzard's Kaivax posted on November 6 that a few class issues need immediate changes. Exact numbers aren't out yet. Anything found over the weekend may join the list, and Blizzard will keep tuning on later Tuesdays if needed. The plan:

November 10 class tuning plan
ClassProblemPlanned fix
Hunter and Warlock pets Pets aren't durable enough as tanks Stats adjusted to roughly Classic Era effectiveness
Affliction Warlock Always channeling Wrack beats casting DoTs Siphon Life, Corruption and Bane of Agony always worth casting with Wrack; total damage unchanged
Enhancement Shaman Intellect and Spell Power beat Strength and Attack Power Strength becomes the best stat; no more Mage/Warlock gear
Short answer

Blizzard ships WoW Forever's first class tuning as hotfixes on Tuesday, November 10: Hunter pets and the Voidwalker get tankier, Affliction DoTs become worth casting with Wrack, and Strength becomes Enhancement Shaman's best stat.

What gear should Enhancement Shamans collect now?

Blizzard's explicit tip: Enhancement Shamans who are leveling should collect Strength and Attack Power gear from now on. The goal is for Enhancement's best items to carry Strength or Attack Power plus some Intellect and/or Spell Power. Don't invest in Intellect cloth or leather now; it loses value after November 10.

Why do Voidwalkers and Hunter pets die so fast?

Blizzard agreed pets are weaker as tanks than intended. The November 6 hotfix raised the Voidwalker's base health by about 40 at every level; the real adjustment lands on November 10. Until then, don't leave your pet alone on big pulls.

Affliction: Wrack or DoTs?

Right now, channeling Wrack nonstop beats your DoTs. After November 10, Siphon Life, Corruption and Bane of Agony will always be worth casting alongside Wrack. Blizzard says total damage stays the same, so it's a rotation change, not a nerf. On November 6, Soul Siphon stopped letting Wrack boost its own damage.

What class fixes went live on November 6?

  • Warlock: Voidwalker base health up about 40; Soul Siphon no longer makes Wrack boost its own damage; Orc Command no longer over-buffs some Warlock pet abilities.
  • Druid: Bloom heals its target correctly; Shadowmelded Night Elf Druids can no longer use Ravage and Pounce.
  • Mage: Arcane Blast duration fixed to 18 seconds; the stray Research spell is gone, you only get Study after the quest.
  • Legacy talent: The Quick and the Dead sometimes didn't work; fixed.
