All 9 new dungeons and their level ranges

Community Manager Kaivax posted the level ranges on the official forums. Locations and themes come from that post and the What's Next panel recap. Here's the list in level order:

WoW Forever new dungeons by level
DungeonLevelsWhat Blizzard has said
The Hall of Thanes 13–18 Beneath Ironforge
Ruins of Lordaeron 15–20 The Forsaken fighting to reclaim Lordaeron
Excavation Site: Wetlands 24–29 A dig site above Whelgar's Excavation
City of Dalaran 28–33 Magical trouble in Dalaran
The Drowned City 35–40 Naga and pirates
Krol'dok Stronghold 40–45 Level range corrected in a blue post
Alcaz Prison 48–53 No details yet
Blackmaw Hold 55–60 Corruption
Shaper's Terrace 58–60 No details yet

Krol'dok Stronghold was listed with the wrong range in BlizzCon materials, and Kaivax corrected it to 40–45 on the forums. The What's Next recap also mentions titan mysteries in Un'Goro among the dungeon themes.

Which dungeon at which level?

The new dungeons cover the whole leveling curve. Two land between 13 and 20: The Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron. Four sit between 24 and 45: Excavation Site: Wetlands, City of Dalaran, The Drowned City and Krol'dok Stronghold. The last three, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold and Shaper's Terrace, run from 48 to 60.

Blizzard hasn't suggested a run order, so the level ranges are your guide. Entrances and how each faction reaches each dungeon haven't been covered yet.

Loot and reward changes

  • The new dungeons come with their own quests and new rewards.
  • Every dungeon drop is being re-examined.
  • Unique boss items are upgraded to blue quality.
  • Appearances from BoP greens and blues that drop in dungeons are unlocked for every eligible looter, not just the winner.
  • Advanced Camping profession objects come from Blueprint recipes found in dungeons.

Is there a dungeon finder (LFG)?

Blizzard hasn't announced LFG or a dungeon finder for Forever, and no official post covers it. The only matchmaking detail so far is language: set a Preferred Online Language and you're matched with players who share it.

Are more dungeons coming?

Yes. The roadmap lists two new dungeons in each of the major updates planned for spring and summer 2027. Blizzard hasn't said yet what they're called or what level they're for.

FAQ

Which dungeons can you run in the beta?
The roadmap caps the beta at level 30. Going by level ranges, The Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron and Excavation Site: Wetlands fit under that cap and City of Dalaran partly does. Blizzard hasn't published a list of what's actually open in beta.
How many new dungeons will WoW Forever have in total?
Nine are announced for launch. The roadmap adds two more in spring and two in summer 2027, so thirteen are planned so far. There's no separate list covering the original Classic dungeons.
What comes after the level 60 dungeons?
Raids. On December 9, 2026, Barrow Deeps (10 players), Hyjal Summit (20 players) and Onyxia's Lair (40 players) unlock.
